Though structurally sound, the fabric and wood finish were a bit worse for wear

Carefully pealing back the original layers of material reveals some interesting elements.

The original padding had deteriorated and shifted.

Old webbing and springs. The springs were in good enough shape to reuse.

The wood frame, ready to be stripped and refinished.

When refinishing, its important to preserve as much original detail and characteristics as possible.
